Subject: Prof. Solange Hamester Johann in Polish Museum

Dear Prof. Johann,

My name is Marlena Zimna, I’m a director of Polish Vladimir Vysotsky
Museum in Koszalin and Polish Vladimir Vysotsky Institute in Koszalin
(city in north-western Poland, near the Baltic Sea).
We would like to invite you to take part (together with more than 70
poets from various countries) in international poetic project tribute
to Vladimir Vysotsky (1938-1980, legendary Russian poet, singer,
composer and actor) – “Vladimir Vysotsky in various languages. New
translations”.
MAY WE ASK YOU TO AGREE TO TRANSLATE IN NEAR FUTURE INTO HUNSRIK
LANGUAGE AND TO SEND TO OUR MUSEUM VIA E-MAIL AT LEAST ONE VLADIMIR
VYSOTSKY’S POEM (AT LEAST ONE HIS SONG)?
It is important for us to receive the translation BY THE END OF JULY.
DEADLINE IS EXACTLY THE LAST DAY OF JULY.
Exactly for this date poets and translators (often – very famous and
reputable writers, outstanding poets from various countries) will
translate (and send to our museum) Vladimir Vysotsky’s poems into
languages in which his poetry wasn’t translate earlier. The results of
the project will be published in the largest database of Vladimir
Vysotsky’s poems in various languages:
http://wysotsky.com
Could you agree to be the participant of this international poetic
project and translate Vladimir Vysotsky’s poem (poems) into Hunsrik
language?
Trust me that it’s very-very important for us. We hope above mentioned
translation will be the part of  international poetic project of our
Vladimir Vysotsky Institute.
This is our 4th international poetic project:

Please forgive me my academic ambition and please believe me that we
ask you about the translation not only for our museum, not only for
our visitors, not only for pathfinders of Vladimir Vysotsky’s life,
works and creations, but also for a posterity. Because Vysotsky was so
great poet, actor and singer that his poetry, all his heritage and
everything concerning him (and translations which I ask you about
else) will be interesting also for people who will come after us.
And it will be a honour for us to have in our museum translation made by you.
On the site:
http://wysotsky.com
you can find all Vladimir Vysotsky’s poems (translated into various
languages, also – into English, maybe it will be useful):

And into German:

Here are all poems – year by year and in alphabetical order:

I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Warm wishes from Poland,
Marlena
